Karachi remained engulfed in a severe cold wave for the third consecutive day on Saturday, with minimum temperatures dropping further and gusty north-easterly winds adding to the chill. Meteorological authorities have warned residents to brace for continued cold and strong winds, with temperatures likely to remain in the single digits today (on Sunday).

The city experienced extremely cold and dry conditions under the influence of the ongoing cold wave. Minimum temperatures fell by two degrees Celsius compared to the previous day, reaching 8.5 degrees Celsius citywide. Jinnah Terminal recorded the lowest temperature of 6.5 degrees Celsius.

Northeasterly winds blowing at 40 km/h (22 knots) brought chilly gusts throughout the day, originating from Quetta (Balochistan).
