An accountability court has dismissed a petition filed by Qaisera Elahi challenging the seizure of assets belonging to her son, Moonis Elahi, declaring the application non-maintainable since the accused has been declared a proclaimed offender.

Accountability court Judge Rana Muhammad Arif announced the verdict, observing that a proclaimed offender cannot file a petition through a representative.

The court further ruled that such an accused is not legally entitled to appoint a representative to pursue legal proceedings on their behalf.
