At least six people were killed when a car travelling from Gilgit to Rawalpindi plunged into a deep ravine near the Teris Banda check post in Lower Kohistan along the Karakoram Highway, officials said on Tuesday.
According to district administration officials, the accident occurred when the vehicle, carrying tourists, reportedly went out of the driver’s control before veering off the road and falling into a gorge. All six passengers on board died on the spot.
