Proceedings of the National Assembly were adjourned without any business on Friday after the government failed to ensure a quorum. The session, chaired by Deputy Speaker Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, began with the question hour.

At the start of proceedings, opposition MNA Iqbal Afridi sought permission to raise a point of order regarding protests by people from the former Fata region which now forms K-P merged districts.

When permission was not granted, he pointed out the lack of a quorum. A count of members confirmed that the required number of lawmakers was not present.Latest News, Breaking News & Top News Stories | The Express TribuneOur CorrespondentRead More
